Northern Illinois Community Initiatives Receives Inaugural Empowerment Partnership Award from the Harvey Brooks Foundation

Northern Illinois Community Initiatives (NICI) attended the Harvey Brooks Motivation & Development Foundation’s Masquerade Sneaker Ball to receive the Empowerment Partnership Award. This award recognized the 3-year partnership between NICI and Harvey Brooks. NICI Executive Director, Tovah McCord accepted the award on behalf of the organization and highlighted Harvey Brooks’ service to Joliet through its food bank, community garden, and youth and community programming.

“As we have worked with them over the years, we have heard from their community members and partners about the impact Harvey Brooks has had on this community and we are happy to support expanding those efforts.”
